Windlicht FM On Air
Pro FM Broadcast brings a radio signal to artwork on the air
Artist Daan Roosegaarde presented the new work of art ‘Windlicht’ on Thursday evening. With ‘Windlicht’, Studio Roosegaarde supports the idea that green energy is something to be proud of.
The artwork consists of a dance of light lines that can be seen from the Annavosdijk.
“Special software and tracking technology detects the wind turbine blades that rotate at 280 kilometers per hour. Green lines of light are linked to these blades.”
Roosegaarde: “Windlicht is a connecting link between Dutch people and the beauty of our new landscape.” After tonight, the artwork can still be seen on March 11, 12, 18 and 19 from approximately 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, depending on weather conditions.
When entering Sint-Annaland, visitors can tune into a special radio channel ‘Windlicht FM’ on 105.3 FM to hear the stories behind the artwork.
Pro FM Broadcast supplied the temporary broadcasting installation for this project.
