Description
Inovonics Aron 655 FM/HD Radio Rebroadcast Receiver
The AARON 655 has a sensitive FM/HD Radio SDR receiver that always returns to the programmed frequency and reception mode after a power interruption. In addition to FM and HD, this Re-broadcast receiver can accept 1-8 audio sources for rebroadcast. This all accepts AES digital and streaming audio inputs with fallback priority selection. Outputs include FM stereo multiplex (MPX) and both analog and AES digital Audio line outputs and output streaming.
IP connectivity with a web browser interface allows the unit to be fully accessible remotely from any PC or mobile device, along with audio monitoring. Local GPIO trouble alarms are sent via email as are the alarm logs, full support for SNMP operation.
Extensive audio processing includes gated and windowed AGC, a unique syllabic leveler, three-band compression and both broadband and independent HF limiting. 4 sections of parametric EQ, a ‘Bass Punch’ utility, independent Density and Loud/Smooth adjustments and variable composite processing round out the feature. The AARON 655 has a built-in RDS encoder that can relay or regenerate incoming RDS and also reformat HD Radio™ ‘PAD’ data for RDS Re-broadcasting.
Characteristics
- Uncompromising DSP-based (SDR) receiver performance
- Accepts program audio from analog FM, digital HD1 to HD8 programs, streaming sources and analog or AES digital line inputs, all with assignable failover audio backup
- Audio processing with AGC, parametric EQ, bass ‘punch’ enhancement, multi-band compression, independent broadband/HF peak control and composite clipping
- A regenerated and peak controlled composite/MPX output, plus balanced analog and AES digital program line outputs for amplifiers with built-in stereo coder.
- An internal RDS/RBDS encoder that can adjust incoming off-air RDS data, convert HD Radio™ PAD to RDS, convert streamed metadata to RDS, or receive IP Telnet data.
- An intuitive web interface with remote control and remote audio monitoring; Self-logging reception alarms provide immediate notification by e-mail and SMS SNMP monitoring and remote control of all AARON 655 functions
- A built-in BandScanner™ for a snapshot of the local RF spectrum
